The Google Streetview Craze

Google Streetview has just announced its roll-out to cover “95% of the
UK’s streets” (not including the street where I live, incidentally:
the camera car stopped where it meets the main road, shot an image
looking into our street, and then obviously decided the rest wasn’t
worth bothering with). So – probably in common with half the rest of
the working population! – I wasted a few hours looking at it for the
novelty value (it’s all Tamsin’s fault, she started it with a link she
posted on Facebook and that got me started!)

One of the things I discovered was the link through to
“”, which indexes user-submitted photos to their location
on Google Maps, and allows viewers of Google Streetview to click
through to the user-submitted photos.

I’ve decided to showcase a few of my best landscapes/cityscapes through this service.

The terms of service, by the way (which I’ve read carefully) fully
protect the copyright of the individual photographers. I look forward
to seeing some other great photos on there!
